Equipment care

Screens and upholstery: equipment-specific care

Why one routine should not be used for every surface.

Identify sensitive areas

Screens, buttons and upholstery differ from frames. Check model-specific manufacturer instructions. TRUE Fitness advises against spraying directly onto consoles; this illustrates why specific guidance matters rather than generalizing.

Confirm before applying

Use only procedures and products approved for that surface. Another brand’s advice is not universal. Follow manual instructions for shutdown, application and drying where specified. Avoid unauthorized mixtures or additional steps.

Record wear

Report cracks, damaged buttons or upholstery deterioration to maintenance staff. Cleaning does not repair a damaged surface. Record issues and review suitability before continuing to apply products to an affected area.
